COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENTS
NSW CAPO holds community engagement sessions across the state as part of our work to support and deliver on the National Agreement on Closing the Gap in NSW.
These sessions provide a culturally safe space for Aboriginal communities to:
- Learn how Closing the Gap can reflect local priorities and create real change on the ground.
- Share their voices, experiences, and feedback on how the Agreement is being implemented across NSW.
Our engagement work supports the Priority Reforms of the National Agreement, which focus on:
- Partnership and shared decision-making
- Strengthening the community-controlled sector
- Transforming government systems
- Improving access to and use of data
- Advancing employment and economic prosperity (NSW-specific)
Through ongoing dialogue with community, we aim to ensure Aboriginal voices lead the way in transforming systems and outcomes across NSW.
WHAT’S COMING UP?
NSW CAPO is continuing to connect with Aboriginal communities across the state through upcoming community engagement sessions. These gatherings are a vital part of our work to make Closing the Gap meaningful and community-led in every region.
New sessions are being planned regularly — keep an eye out for when we’ll be in your area.
